MERCY CENTER STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP PROJECT - MAY 2005 – MARCH 2006

We assist some very needy and often seriously disadvantaged students in the Pattaya area. At the moment we have 28 students, but as more funds become available, there are always needy students waiting for help. In addition to the students we sponsor in School 7, we have a growing number of students completing grade 9 that need to go on to vocational school. Cost for scholarship for these students is approximately double that of regular school, but it does include a grade 12 academic graduation, PLUS vocational training, which greatly increases the possibilities of having a successful future.

These costs are an indication as they change every year, the mission budgets for cost rises of about 10% every year. The boy's uniform is a little more expensive than the girl's to explain the difference in cost.

Lunch and a drink is not included in this cost, allowing B20 per day for a lunch and a drink, it is an extra B4000 per year. We only supply this for the neediest children.
